Greetings Wildcat Families:

It’s that time of the year again! Another school year is fast approaching. I hope that all of you had a great summer! I look forward to another exciting year, where we will…Empowering leaders through great leadership to impact the community and world (Vision). We thought we would be proactive and get some information out to you so you can start the school year off excited and ready.

The first day of school will be Wednesday, August 17th.

The daily schedule is the same as last year with school beginning each day at 8:00 AM.

Students are tardy at 8:00 and must report to the office for a tardy pass.

Please do not send your students to school before 7:30 AM, unless they are attending before school care.

Before school care is from 7:00 – 7:30 everyday with Ms. Booth. Ms. Booth will pick the students up at the front entrance of the school.

The front entrance will open at 7:30 AM, where all students will report to the cafeteria.

All students eat breakfast and lunch free. Breakfast will be served at 7:30 – 7:55 daily.

Monthly menus will be posted on each school’s website and hard copies will be posted in the office.

Please contact the school office before 9:00 AM if your child is going to be absent. Just a reminder… it is a district policy that an automated message will be sent to you after 10:00 AM if your child is absent.

We will have Homeroom Meet and Greet on Monday, August 15th from 5:00 – 7:00 pm. This is the time you will come and meet your child’s teacher, build relationships with other parents in the class, sign up for various school related parent opportunities and complete any forms.

Your child’s teacher will share what you can expect for the upcoming year, as well as how both the home and school will work together in learning and modeling the 7 habits.

All class lists will be posted outside each teacher’s door.

If you’re picking your child up for an early dismissal, we ask that you come to the office and sign him/her out. Students will remain in the classroom until the teacher receives a phone call of an early dismissal.

Parents who are transporting their students to school enter the parking lot from the back entrance. Students will be dropped off in the front section, and parents will then circle around the back of the parking lot to exit. The same procedure will occur in the afternoon. Parents will remain in their cars, give your student’s name to the staff member and students will be called out via walkie-talkie.

Richard Allen Schools understand a school emergency can occur at any time.  As parents, know that Richard Allen Schools are proactively prepared to respond to school safety emergencies. 

Richard Allen Schools’ preparation is guided by a School Safety Emergency Operations Plan (EOP) that provides detailed response directives to facilitate and achieve safety for students and staff.

The Richard Allen Schools are public community schools that participate in state-wide assessment (including the Ohio Achievement Assessments).  The Schools uphold compulsory attendance requirements for all students, as required by law.

Parents may request information regarding the professional qualifications of their students' teachers by writing or emailing the principal. For a complete faculty roster that lists where faculty completed their collegiate studies and the undergraduate or graduate degrees held, click on the Richard Allen Schools District Site link in the Resources section on the homepage.

National Immunization Awareness Month

     

 Our health focus for September is blood cancer awareness.  The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society will be holding assemblies at all campuses.
